Successful boat campaign in Togo

While on holiday in the Netherlands for several months last summer, Father Ton Storcken held a flash action for boats in the parishes of Eckelrade, Gronsveld and Rijckholt, where he was previously pastor.

The first boats have now been purchased and launched. The boats cost €72.50 each and are intended for people in Togo who are being driven away by large-scale fishing and are now forced to fish in the lagoons close to the coast. Storcken has gotten to know the fishermen because the lagoons are located near the seminary where he teaches.
