Susanne Beentjes

Profile
Susanne Beentjes (33) from De Rijp (North Holland) studied health sciences and international public health. She once volunteered in Ghana and previously lived in Tanzania for five years. Since the fall of 2019, she has been assigned as a lay missionary to Mwanza on Lake Victoria on behalf of the SMA. She has taken over the work there from lay missionary Corine 't Hart, who returned to the Netherlands in 2019 after several years in Africa.

Location
In Mwanza, Tanzania, Susanne Beentjes works in the Lulu project for street girls, founded by her predecessor, Corine 't Hart. Here, the girls learn skills that allow them to earn money to be independent or to care for their children. They also hold educational workshops in various areas, such as healthcare.
